Terms and Conditions

1. Orders and Payments

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order.
The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to installation.
All goods remain the property of Sway Curtains until full payment is received.

2. Lead Times and Delivery

Estimated delivery is approximately 4–6 weeks from the date of deposit payment, depending on the selected fabric and supplier availability.
Delivery timelines are approximate and may be subject to change due to factors beyond our control.

3. Quotations

All quotations are valid for 10 days from the date of issue and are subject to change thereafter. 

4. Product Ownership

Ownership of all products remains with Sway Curtains until full payment has been received.

5. Defects and Reporting

Any defects in the products must be reported within 3 days of installation.
Reports made after this period may not be eligible for warranty claims.

6. Removal of Existing Furnishings

We offer removal of existing window furnishings for an additional fee.
Please note that we do not dispose of or take away the removed items.

7. Installation Considerations

Installation costs may vary if drilling into metal beams or other structural elements is required.
For installations involving gyprock (plasterboard) walls, especially when supporting heavy curtains, bracket spacing will be determined by the installer based on the location of internal wall studs to ensure secure and safe installation.
Spacing between brackets may not be equal due to varying stud positions.
Additional reinforcement (e.g., wall plugs or toggles) may be used at the installer's discretion.

8. Client-Provided Measurements

If measurements are provided by the client, Sway Curtains is not responsible for any discrepancies due to changes in floor or ceiling levels after the order is placed.
We are also not liable for blinds if tiling or window frames were not installed at the time of measurement.

9. Order Modifications and Cancellations

Orders confirmed with a deposit can only be cancelled or modified within 24 hours of confirmation.
Cancellations or changes after this period are at the discretion of Sway Curtains and/or our suppliers.

10. Motorised Blinds

Motorised blinds are installed and limits are set by our installer.
Hard-wired motors must be connected by the client's certified electrician.

11. Warranty

Sway Curtains offers a 2-year warranty on all curtains, tracks, blinds, and shutters from the date of installation.
This warranty covers product defects and installation issues but does not cover accidental damage or general wear and tear.

12. Liability

Sway Curtains is not liable for pre-existing conditions or damage to walls or ceilings that may occur at locations other than where our products are being installed.
Any repair or restoration of such damages is not our responsibility.
We are also not responsible for structural deficiencies in walls where installation is required.
If a wall lacks proper structural fixings or is unsuitable for safe installation, it is the client's responsibility to ensure rectification.
Sway Curtains will not be held liable for any issues arising from such conditions.

13. Structural Integrity

14. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
