Terms and Conditions

Orders & Payments
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order.
The remaining balance must be paid in full before installation takes place.
All products remain the property of Sway Curtains until payment has been received in full.

Lead Times & Delivery
Our estimated production timeframe is approximately 4–6 weeks from the date your deposit is received. This timeframe may vary depending on fabric selection and supplier availability.
Delivery and installation timeframes are estimates only and may change due to factors beyond our control.

Quotations
All quotations are valid for 10 days from the date of issue. Prices may change after this period.

Ownership of Goods
Ownership of all products remains with Sway Curtains until full payment has been made.

Reporting Issues
Any issues or defects must be reported within 3 days of installation.
Issues reported outside this timeframe may not be eligible for warranty assessment.

Custom-Made Curtains, Repairs & Refunds
All Sway Curtains products are custom-made to measure and manufactured based on measurements taken by Sway Curtains and specifications confirmed with you before production begins.

Because our products are custom-made, change-of-mind refunds or exchanges are not available once production has commenced.

If you believe your curtains are faulty, incorrectly manufactured, or do not match the agreed specifications, please notify us as soon as possible after delivery or installation and provide details of the issue (including photos where requested).

Where permitted by law, Sway Curtains will first assess the issue and may attempt to repair, alter, or rectify the product within a reasonable timeframe at no additional cost to you.

If the issue cannot be resolved, or if it is considered a major failure under Australian Consumer Law, we will offer an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement or refund in line with our legal obligations.

All measurements are based on site conditions at the time of measure. Any changes to floors, ceilings, walls or openings after measurement may affect product fit and are not the responsibility of the supplier.

If an installation can not be concluded due to site conditions unrelated to our products. Follow up installation may incur an additional charge.

Minor variations in measurements, alignment, finish, or appearance that fall within reasonable industry tolerances are not considered defects.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Removal of Existing Furnishings
We can remove existing window furnishings for an additional fee.
Please note that removed items are not taken away or disposed of by Sway Curtains.

Installation Considerations
Installation costs may vary if drilling into metal beams or other structural elements is required.

For gyprock (plasterboard) walls, especially when supporting heavy curtains, our installers will position brackets based on the location of internal wall studs to ensure a safe and secure installation.
As a result, bracket spacing may not always be evenly spaced.

Additional fixings (such as wall plugs or toggles) may be used where required at the installer’s discretion.

Client-Provided Measurements
In cases where measurements are provided by the client at their request (rather than taken by Sway Curtains), we are not responsible for discrepancies resulting from incorrect measurements or changes to floor levels, ceilings, tiling, or window frames that occur after the order is placed or were incomplete at the time of measurement.

Order Changes & Cancellations
Orders confirmed with a deposit may only be changed or cancelled within 24 hours of confirmation.
After this time, cancellations or changes are subject to approval by Sway Curtains and/or our suppliers.

Motorised Blinds
Motorised blinds are installed and programmed by our installers.
Any hard-wired motors must be connected by a licensed electrician arranged by the client.

Warranty
Sway Curtains provides a 2-year warranty from the date of installation on all curtains, tracks, blinds, and shutters.

This warranty covers manufacturing and installation faults but does not cover accidental damage, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Liability
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or conditions in walls or ceilings outside the areas where our products are installed.

If a wall or surface is unsuitable for safe installation or lacks adequate structural support, it is the client’s responsibility to arrange rectification.
Sway Curtains will not be liable for issues arising from such conditions.

Structural Integrity
For rod or track installations on gyprock walls, bracket placement will be determined by the installer based on stud locations to ensure safety and durability.
Spacing may vary and additional fixings may be used where necessary.
